Key West, Florida

Key West PorchKey West is the last island in an archipelago known as the Florida Keys, located on the southernmost tip of Florida and the continental United States.  At about 6 square miles, this island is surrounded by the clear, warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Only 90 miles from Cuba, the island emits a Caribbean feel that makes it a popular vacation destination.  Since its founding in 1822, Key West has been home to famous and infamous characters. Famous writers, poets, artists and politicians as well as pirates and drug smugglers have called this island home. Today Key West is home to about 25,000 residents and is a year round tourist destination. For entertainment, there are over 300 bars and restaurants, dozens of Art Galleries, theaters, watersports and shopping. You can spend your days here doing it all or just relaxing under a palm tree.  Key West is a true paradise for those who are lucky enough to live here or just come for a visit.
